Statement of faith

2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (NIV)

"The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the Son of God. To become like Jesus, we must fill our lives with his Word.

Election Day 2020

Quiet-Time Reflections.                                        Week of: November 2, 2020.                                    By: Pam Crawford

A reminder to myself and all who profess Christianity in America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡².

Today, we have the privilege to partake in America’s election. But let us not forget that we also have a responsibility to reflect the character of Jesus Christ despite the outcome. Let the Word of God be your guide and your peace in this day and onward.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self- control. Against such things there is no law.
- Galatians 5:22-23

Stand with confidence that despite the outcome of the vote; God's plans will not change because as professed Christians, God is the ultimate authority for life and He is still in control of all that He created.

"He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
- Daniel 2:21

We need not fear the future.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

While we wait for the Kingdom of promise we have a purpose and a responsibility.

"Then Jesus said to them: "So wherever you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News." - Mark 16:15

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: you should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."
- 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was this is how He responded. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. And, love your neighbor as yourself.
- Luke 10:27

May we remember that it will not be the troublemakers that win in the end. Do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
- Matthew 5:9

Children of God:
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."

We can be the difference that we desire to see in this world, because in Christ, we have the greatest freedom of all.

In Christ by grace,
Pam
