Statement of faith

2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (NIV)

"The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the Son of God. To become like Jesus, we must fill our lives with his Word.

2 Chronicles 7:14 - “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

Life’s Application Commentary:
In chapter 6, Solomon asked God to make provisions for the people when they sinned. God answered with four conditions for forgiveness. (1) Humble yourself by admitting your sins, (2) pray to God, asking for forgiveness, (3) seek God continually, and (4) turn from sinful behavior. True repentance is more than talk – it is a changed behavior. Whether we sin individually, as a group, or as a nation, following these steps will lead to forgiveness. God will answer our earnest prayers.

The following is a letter I sent to several of our local newspapers for the purpose of addressing the faith community concerning the upcoming election. We need not fear the outcome of this election; God is very much in control and November 7th will be no surprise to Him at all.

Psalm 75:7
“It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.” (NLT)

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
State Of Moral Decay
By Pam Crawford

"It is very apparent that we are in a state of moral decay in America. With the on-going effort to redefine marriage and the increased push for Christians to accept and pay for things such as abortion and contraception, may I suggest that this is no time to be silent? The future of our children and our grandchildren is at stake this November. Do not be deceived faith community! This election is about more than the need for an economic turnaround and it's about more than losing government entitlements. This nation is in direct rebellion to the Creator and we should not be surprised if we get exactly what we deserve here in America should we continue to mock the Word of God. Believers you have an opportunity to have your voice heard. You have the opportunity to intercede in prayer; and when you cast your vote in November, cast it aligned to your moral convictions. May God Bless America and may He get us turned around to be the people we were created to be."

Friends, I encourage you to hit your knees and pray without ceasing that God would not remove His hand of mercy and guidance upon our country.

Let's Pray: Heavenly Father, we join our voices in asking you for undeserved favor on our land. We admit that we have been doing it our way for way too long and we have ignored your instructions for godly living. Father help us to repent of selfishness and empower us to live our lives as Jesus did, always looking out for others before self. It is our prayer that  the majority of Americans will consult you Father before heading to the ballot box. That they will not overlook your views on things such as marriage, abortion and the nation of Israel. It is our hope that when we awake on November 7th our leader will lead this great country back onto a path that strives for dignity, honor and respect. We pray our President will be a man who delights in consulting you before making decisions that will affect us and future generations. May he be a man that will not waiver from his personal convictions to people please. GOD help us should the majority chose wrong. In Jesus name we lift our petitions. Amen.

In Christ by grace,
Pam
